Energy Trading is a very niche market that is traded by traders who are passionate about trading and have a very deep understanding of trading. Majority of the trading is conducted by traders in investment banks and hedge funds. Energy trading is completely different from stock trading.
Our program focuses specifically on trading power (aka electricity trading). This is what Enron used to trade. Unlike stock trading, you are not buying "shares", but you are buying/selling megawatts (MW). You don't trade with regular brokers like TD Ameritrade or Scottrade, but with specialized ISO (google- independent system operator). Our program will teach you how to trade the Two Settlement Systems for Electricity Markets. It's a very volatile market with huge potential for reward and risk.
The founder, while working for an energy trading company, had a personal best of $104,00 on one fateful day in August of 2007. The firm generated close to $250,000 in profit that day as many traders piggy backed off the founder. The same trader even lost $30,000 in one day. But more importantly, he was consistent and on most days made $2,000+. That firm has now been acquired by a large Trading Firm called EDF Trading.
While these numbers definitely might seem surprising to most, one can definitely get started at a smaller scale where you only make/lose a couple of hundred dollars. That would definitely be the smarter way to do it. Once you learn and make small profits, you can increase size of your positions.
What can I do after learning?

Apply for jobs with your newly acquired education. Trading firms are always looking for people with knowledge. They usually like to train people with no experience because they won't be breaking old habits, but just building new ones. You could be a perfect candidate for this. Check out Yahoo Hotjobs, Monster, or some energy/trading firms and look for careers under energy trading. They have plenty to offer. Once the training is complete, you will be able to answer most interview questions related to energy trading.

Trade for yourself. You must have risk capital of at least $25,000 or have ability to raise $25,000 from other investors.
Learning Energy Trading
The instructor will dedicate time to you on a one to one basis. The training will be conducted virtually via online webinars where you can see the instructor's screen and hear his voice. If you prefer, you can fly out to the location and learn from the instructor in person. It's entirely up to you.
The training will first discuss an overview of the energy market and progress into more complicated topics as the course proceeds. At no point will the instructor move forward unless you are comfortable and have a full understanding of the topic being discussed.
The whole program is conducted in such a manner until every single topic necessary for trading is covered. You will be taught to your satisfaction and you will be able to fully understand the energy market and how this trading works. Not too many people can say that!!
